Is it possible to complete a physiotherapy assessment via teleconsultation? How does it work? Who practices it?
Physiotherapy services are available through remote consultation. If you haven’t yet started a follow-up or treatment with one of our physiotherapists, you can get started online.
Your therapist will conduct an evaluation as if you were next to him or her, and establish a physiotherapy diagnosis and treatment plan for you.
This treatment can also be provided remotely: telerehabilitation is part of our services. If you are a runner and suffer from a back injury, your therapist will be able to provide you with exercises and advice on how to run without hurting your back.
How does a remote occupational therapy session work?
Occupational therapy sessions are performed the same way whether you attend a teleconsultation or an in-person session with your therapist. The session is given by one of our occupational therapists.
Our service is open to everyone. If you want to start a treatment, your occupational therapist will first evaluate your condition in order to create your treatment plan. This plan can be adapted as the sessions progress.
If you have already started a follow-up, you can also continue your treatment.
How does a remote kinesiology session work?
Kinesiology is one of the services we offer via teleconsultation. As with face-to-face sessions, they are conducted by our kinesiologists.
This practice focuses on the relationship between the body and the brain and on the overall well-being of the person. The objective of kinesiology is to optimize the person’s physical condition, regardless of where he or she is starting from.
Whether you have already done sessions with us or not, remote kinesiology is for you. Your kinesiologist will establish a follow-up plan based on your needs.
Virtual yoga : how does an online yoga session work?
Our M.A.Y.A. program is part of the services we offer in teleconsultation.
What is this acronym? It stands for Maintenance of Acquired skills through Adapted Yoga. The M.A.Y.A program is a six-week fitness program.
The objective of this program is to improve your physical and mental health. This is done through three approaches: muscle strengthening, adapted yoga, and meditation and breathing.
Thanks to our remote services, participants can follow the sessions in real time or in replay. So, if you have started this program, you can continue to follow it without any problem. And if you want to discover the practice of yoga and meditation, it is entirely possible.
