BLOOD TEST
The blood test was invented by Karl Landsteiner, an Austrian biologist and physician, in 1901.

Your blood samples will be taken by the nurses at our CMI Clinics.
When should you have your blood drawn?
You may need a blood test for a variety of reasons, sometimes without any particular condition. This is called a routine analysis.
If you have some symptoms, your doctor may prescribe a blood test to find out why and to detect a potential disease.
Blood tests can also be used to determine the appropriate treatment for a chronic or acute illness.
Do you have to fast before a blood test?
Depending on the prescription, you may need to fast for at least eight hours. You may have other conditions specified on your prescription. Please follow these conditions carefully.
How does a blood test work?
Depending on your tolerance to blood, our nurse may instruct you to lie down to take the blood sample. It is usually done in the elbow crease.
Then, the nurse will apply a tourniquet to your arm to locate the vein. After disinfecting the area, the nurse will insert a needle connected to a sampling tube. And that’s it!
Don’t forget your health insurance card!
